Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to fill out a travel questionnaire, and hand this into reception (please note if you are travelling within the next 8 weeks we cannot facilitate this appointment).

Once you have handed in your travel form, you will then be booked a telephone appointment with a Practice Nurse, with an exact date and time of the call. During this telephone call, the nurse will determine if any vaccinations are needed and will then organise the appointment to have the vaccinations.

Wollaton Park Medical Centre is not a specialist travel clinic and anyone travelling to more than 2 destinations or visiting multiple locations on a cruise, then you will need to attend a private travel clinic.

The surgery is unable to give Japanese Encephalitis, Rabies and Tick Borne Encephalitis.

It is important to submit your travel questionnaire at least 12 weeks prior to travel, as most vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Travel vaccinations need to be given at least 2 weeks before travel for them to be effective.
