child health

Unfortunately we no longer have a Health Visitor attached to the practice. If you need to contact a health visitor please call direct to Wollaton Vale Health Centre on 0115 9287793. The health visitor will be happy to advise on health issues relating to children below the age of 5.

The 4-8 week mother and baby check will be carried out by one of the doctors. This is to ensure that your newborn baby is developing normally. Please ask for a 30 minute appointment. Childhood immunisations are given by the practice nurse and start from 8 weeks of age. The schedule of recommended immunisations is in the Red Book given to you following the birth of your baby. The nurse will be happy to advise regarding the immunisation schedule.
